Oooh Tooth Fairy...Where are you???

So our latest and greatest has been trying to get Zeke to wiggle his already loose tooth. He has one coming up behind it and fast. He has been wiggling it a little but not very much. Tonight he came home from basketball with daddy and showed me his mouth. This is what it looked like. Crazy little tooth, huh?

So then right before Zeke is getting ready for bed, daddy asked if he could pull it out for him. Zeke said yes and I couldn't watch. I can handle a lot of crazy things but teeth are not one of them. Less then a minute later daddy said, "Here you go." This is what his mouth looked like after. You can't even see the tooth in between his fingers because it is so tiny.

He is now sitting on the floor with a paper towel in his mouth waiting for it to stop bleeding. He's going to look different now with his missing tooth. Can't wait to see what the Tooth Fairy leaves him or should I say, how much.

Scrapbook Challenge

I am passing some time before my Stampin Up party begins in a little while by searching for a fun layout to showcase my friendship with Senia. I started the weekly Designer's Challenge at Green Tangerines (scrapbook store). It started last week and I had to use glossy accents on my page that I created showcasing 7 of my closest friends. I, personally, was surprised that I actually have that many. Who would have thought? I didn't even have to include my husband. So this weeks challenge is to tell about one of my friends that likes bling and I have to use a little bling on my layout. Well, my girls aren't really huge on the whole bling thing, but Senia does like jewelry and she is always wearing fun jewelry. It was so weird, when I was at Green Tangerines this week for my Cricut club, I needed to find some girlie paper. I have only scrapbooked my boys, so I don't have any fun girl paper. I found just the right kind. I found papers that had shoes and handbags on them. So now I am on the search for the right picture of her to include in my layout.

Outside of that, Tuesday we had Zac's follow up to his spinal surgery last November. The doc said everything looks great and that he will have to be scanned again in a year to make sure all of the fluid is gone from the surgery. Then I got my hair done on Wednesday and I had my cricut class that night. And last night we had Parent Orientation at Zeke's school. Tomorrow morning is going to be an early one for soccer. We have pics at 7:30 and have to pic up another player. We will all be up earlier than normal. Yuck! Oh well, we only have one early game all year so that's not too bad.

Nice little weekend.

We kicked off Saturday by having another soccer game. The Cheetahs did a great job of playing together and by doing so, they won. I was very happy and proud to see Zeke be so much more aggressive as goalie and as a midfielder. There were also some other kiddos on the team that came out of their shell a little as well. After the game, we came home and sat on the couch and watched a movie. Zeke was playing video games and Zac was sleeping (that's the only time we can watch a movie). After that movie was over, we watched 'Speed Racer' with Zeke. He has been anxiously waiting to watch it. I loved watching that movie. It was total eye-candy for me with all of the great colors and patterns. After the movie was over, Zeke went and spent the night at grandma's house and then Zac fell asleep on the floor. Hersch and I watched season one of 'Californication'. I really liked watching that show. It was very interesting.

As for Sunday, I did not want to get up but I had to. I was watching the munchkin so that Hersch could go watch the Bears game. Zac was quite the busy body and wore me out yesterday. When he finally took his nap, I got a chance to continue my designers challenge I am taking at Green Tangerines. I am looking forward to each week. I also did a little laundry and cleaning up around the house.

This week is going to be a busy one. Today is my only day that something is not scheduled for us. I will be back later with more exciting info, I hope.

Spending the night with Veggies...

So last night was alot of fun. My kiddos and I went with my sis-in-law and her kiddos to see Veggie Tales Live. The kids said that they were excited but I have some pics that show otherwise. It was a great show and well worth the twenty bucks. It was very entertaining. I'm glad we finally got to see one of the live shows. Zeke has been wanting to watch one for years now and they finally made it to northern California.

See what I mean. I thought these kids would be a little more excited than this. Nonetheless, we all had a great time last night.

Our trip to Target

Well this morning after breakfast Zac & I went to Target. We had a whole list of goodies to get. But of course right when I get in that store, I always get side tracked by the dollar bins. They had some great stuff in there. Next we looked in the toy aisle and I got Zeke some Christmas presents. Yes already. I have to start early so it doesn't cost so much. After that, Zac and I looked at the Halloween costumes. I found a Jango Fett for Zeke with 2 blasters like he asked for this morning. And I showed Zac the cute Yoda and Darth Vader costume. He picked the Darth Vader costume. Needless to say I was not surprised. So now both of my kids are going to be evil. Well it suits them at times. Oh yeah we got Zeke shin guards, can't forget those. That was the whole reason we went and to get Advil for all 22 of Herschel's headaches. Sorry honey, I hope it gets better. Just think, tomorrow's Friday and the kiddos and I won't even be here for most of the evening. We are off to see Veggie Tales Live. Zeke is super excited and I think Zac will really love it too.

Anyhoo, we had a great trip to Target this morning. I also loved it cuz Zac took a nap when he got home. He just got up and decided to show me his cool shades.

Now isn't he just too cute sometimes.

What to do, what to do??

Well dear sweet Zac is going nutso right now. I don't know if it is due to yet another tooth coming in or if it is just his nature. He has been so ornery lately. He climbs on everything, cries when he doesn't get his way and laughs like a mad man when you try talking to him. I hope it's not the terrible twos coming early. Uh oh. Right now he looks sweet but I am waiting for that to change cuz it never lasts long. What did I tell you, he is now jumping on the couch. I'm waiting for him to fall face first off the couch.

A mix of goodies

So far this weekend has been quite some fun. A little mix of goodies. Friday night Hersh vented with his coworker, while I watched Zeke play way too much Wii. And Zac went to bed early because he still has his runny nose and his cough. I will probably have to take him to the dr on Monday. But he is not slowing down any.

Saturday was a good day as well. Zeke's 1st grade teacher came and watched him play soccer as did his aunt, uncle and two cousins. Unfortunately the Cheetahs lost their game. We don't know what happened to them in the first half. They didn't seem to have the drive that they had last weekend. They did manage to come together and play better in the second half. Zeke was goalie again and almost stopped one of the goals. It just went through his hands above his head. He was so close.

On our way home Zac fell asleep and had along nap which I loved because it allowed me to make a card I have been wanting to make and to clean up my scrapbook area. After that I went to a "Wine & Women" party with two of my sis-in-laws. We had a really good time. It's nice to talk to other women from time to time and realize that you are perfectly normal and have the same concerns as others.

As for this morning, Zeke and Zac are playing together nicely. We shall see how long that will last. Zac just brought a book to Zeke and told him "read". I am hoping to jump in the shower soon and head off to Michael's crafts to buy a new Cricut cartridge. They are on sale this week. And this afternoon, the fam is heading off to my inlaws to celebrate my sis-in-law's birthday.

Poor sweet baby....

Well I feel bad for two of my babies these days. The first one being Zac since he is still not feeling like his usual self. He has had a runny nose for the past two days and I had to start him on his breathing treatments for a few days until his cough subsides. I must say that him not feeling well has not slowed him down much or at all for that matter.

Herschel is my other baby I feel bad for. He has been having a rough time at work and not because of his class. He is frustrated because his higher ups aren't supporting him and his co-workers. And then they are all told that they aren't doing a good enough job with their students. Nothing like kicking them all when they are down. Sometimes I just wish his job were as simple as teaching the students, but unfortunately there is just too many politics and spineless people involved. Hang in there honey, I know you can do it and make it better. He just feels bad because he knows that all of the students are suffering because of all of this drama.

My other baby, Zeke is actually doing really well right now. I definitely think him starting school again has mellowed him out. I am really proud of him and how well he has been doing since school and soccer has started for him.

My day...

Nothing too exciting today. I did laundry most of the day and I feel like I made a bigger mess. I am going to have to invest in one of those huge front loaders that does everything with the push of a button. But I suppose I still have to get the laundry to the machine and I still have to put it away. But I could put more in at once.

Zac has had a runny nose all day due to his teeth. That poor boy has got more teeth in his mouth and they have all come in at the same time. I discovered at dinner that he now also likes grapes. (Don't worry mom, I cut them in quarters) I think he ate more grapes than anything.

Zeke has been preoccupied with his new Wii game he got on Sunday with his gift card. It's Mario Baseball. He loves anything with Mario in it. He is already trying to master the game.

And as for Herschel, he had basketball practice this evening. Hopefully they aren't working him over too much.

In other news, I finally completed Zeke's Jog-a-thon scrapbook page. I just wasn't happy with it, but I made it work and now it doesn't bother me so much. I also had to make a sympathy card for one of Herschel's coworkers. Those aren't really as much fun to make due to the circumstances. I am now off to start another scrapbook page for Zeke's school album.

Go Cheetahs!!!

Soccer Saturday kicked off yesterday with our first game. My son's team, the Cheetahs did great. They won 3-1. It was a very fun game to watch. The kids worked well together considering it was only their first game. Zeke did really well. He was the fastest kid out there and he made a cute goalie. Unfortunately the one goal was scored when he was goalie. He didn't care because they still won.

Besides going to the game, we also had my niece's birthday party to attend in the afternoon. The kids were all playing outside and having lots of fun. I was late to the party because I went to the Paper Garden in Sacramento. It is an incredible stamp and paper store. I would just like to give Stephanie a shout out for having a fabulous store and a great sale yesterday. My mom and I had a fun time in there. I can't wait to get a jump start on my Halloween cards now. Thanks for taking us, dad.

After, my niece's party, we went to my in-laws and watched the UFC fights. Poor Iceman (Chuck Liddell). He got knocked the %@$* out. I am surprised he wasn't carried out on a stretcher.

Needless to say, it was a very long day yesterday but a very fun one. It was nice to have the boys sleep in a little bit this morning.

This morning

So this is was one of the first things I saw this morning. Zeke was all excited about these glasses. He had to show them off to me. I just thought he looked too cute. He earned these glasses by me filling out some paperwork for school and him returning it on time. These are straw glasses, one side goes in your drink and the other goes in your mouth. It's going to be a fun Friday.

Design Class

Tonight, I had my Design Studio class for my Cricut. For those of you who don't know, it is a computer program for one of my scrapbooking tools. The class was down at Green Tangerines (scrapbook store in Roseville). I learned some very simple skills that I can't wait to use. The only bad thing about going to Green Tangerines, is that I always find something to buy....of course! I swear there needs to be a 12 step program to break that addiction. I love that store because all of the ladies are fabulous.
When I got home, I was greeted by my youngest running at me full speed ahead and giggling like he was drunk. I gave him big hugs and made him giggle even more. And Zeke gave me big greasy kisses from his fried chicken dinner. Oh how I love being a mom.

"May the force be with you"

This evening, Zeke was eating his dinner when Zac came out of the toy room carrying a lightsaber. It wasn't fully extended yet until Zac made this great noise with his mouth and moved his arm. He apparently knows how to make the lightsaber come out with force too. I turned to Zeke and said, "May the force be with you." After that, the two of them were dueling in the living room. Zeke knows he has to be nice since he is so much bigger but Zac is vicious.

Never a dull moment

All day today, Zac has been so busy. Sometimes I think this boy is like me in the sense that he doesn't slow down until he is done. We were at my parents house today and he only stopped running through the house during his nap. And when his great grandma got there, she was chasing him through the house. Since we have gotten home he has, climbed on the couch, climbed on his play table, bit mommy, tried helping daddy with emptying the dishwasher, changed the tv channel and is bouncing on one of our chairs. Right now he is crying because he doesn't want to say goodnight to mommy. Wait...quick mood change, now he is giggling hysterically. I have no idea what this kid was fed but we shouldn't feed it to him again. Now he is off to bed with "blankie" in a death grip.
