Good weekend despite being sick

We kicked off this weekend with Zeke's 8th birthday party for his friends. Zeke decided to go bowling. I seriously think Zac was more excited then Zeke was. Either way, they both had a great time. Here are a few pics from the party.

After his party, we headed to my inlaws for a bbq and to watch the UFC fights. My sis inlaw and I left to go to Green Tangerines to do a little shopping and then she joined me in picking up my parents from the airport. It was on Sunday that Zeke got to celebrate his birthday one more time. My parents and grandparents took him out to dinner to celebrate since they didn't get to see him for his birthday.

The boys were enjoying opening their presents. Zac got to open the gifts that grandma and papa brought back from their vacation.

But my most favorite thing this weekend was watching this occur...

Zeke finally learned how to ride his bike!! We were so proud of him! Thanks Mark for challenging him. He just needed that extra push that you were able to give him!

Slightly irritated...

Yesterday we celebrated Zeke's birthday and I took a variety of pictures and for some reason, i can't get them to download on to my computer. Not sure what is going on but it is irritating the crap out of me. I think overall he had a good day. We had Open House last night for him so we were unable to go out to dinner or do anything super special for him. But last night, we stuck a candle in a cupcake and sang to him and we gave him our presents. He's having his party this weekend at the bowling alley with some of his friends and then we will have a little family gathering for him later on that day. On Sunday we are going to Outback to have his special birthday dinner. So he gets to celebrate his day a little longer.

And as for today, we had a couple of milestones in the house. Apparently this morning, Zeke lost another tooth right before school. He was angry and put a towel in his mouth and ripped it out really fast and out came his tooth with it. I was wondering what all the blood was from in his garbage earlier. Also, I have been noticing a pattern with Zac. When he gets out of the tub and before he gets a diaper on, he likes to pee. So today I took him in to the toy room (his bathroom) where he sat on his potty and went pee. I was so proud of him. He was very happy with himself as well. There's nothing like watching a naked baby grinning from ear to ear. Hopefully, I can post some photos soon. Thanks for looking!

A visit to Green Tangerines and a photo book for Grandma

This past week, I went to Green Tangerines to pick up my Kit of the Month and halfway there, I realized that I didn't have my stroller for Zac. Well I surely wasn't about to carry that 30 pound kid around that huge scrapbooking store. So I gave him my bag and let him walk around the store with it. He was perfectly content picking up flower embellies and glitter letters to put in his bag. I also let him pick out a sheet of patterned paper. He picked a new one from Basic Grey the "Lime Rickey" collection. He has tasted similar to mine. Good Boy! Here is my little kiddo shopping at Green Tangerines in Roseville.

Now back to our regularly scheduled blog: On Thursday night we invited my grandparents and parents over to make dinner and give my grandma her photobook I made for her for mother's day. It was all about our Christmas vacation to Hawaii. Well being that Zac loves pictures just as much as grandma, he felt the need to sit with her. She just loved that!

Vegas Baby...Yeah!

We left for Vegas on Friday morning at about seven in the morning. We were there by ten and shortly thereafter we met two fabulous friends at their gate. From there we went to our hotel, the MGM Grand and checked in. We all walked around the strip for awhile before heading back to hang out by the pool. We were kicked out of the pool area because they were closing. Their pools close really early. We didn't mind because we needed to get ready to see Dave Matthews Band! We ordered room service so that we could make it to the concert on time. Poor sweet Mark got a little sick due to my husband's influences and he was a little late showing up to the concert. But they both made it. The next day the boys went and played golf while Stef and I did some walking and shopping. Hersh managed to hurt his back during the second hole of golf and hasn't been the same since. We hurried and got ready for dinner later that night and had a very yummy meal at a steakhouse in New York, New York. I got a little silly at that meal. Didn't take much considering I hadn't eaten much. After that we had round two of Dave Matthews Band. I'm not gonna lie, the second day was my fave mainly because he played "Dreaming Tree". That is my favorite song of his and that was the first time I have heard it live. I was in love simply because he was near me.

On Sunday we were sad to go because we had such a great time, but all good things must come to an end. But first it got even better. While we were waiting for our flight to leave, Southwest was asking for volunteers to stay in Vegas and go on a later flight. Well after discussing it with the honey, we decided to volunteer. I'm so glad we did because we got vouchers for $700 to fly where ever Southwest flies and they are good for a year. Not to mention when we got back on the strip, Hersh would periodically play some blackjack at various tables during the course of the day and he won close to $500. Like we were saying, Vegas paid us to stay longer! It was an awesome weekend with incredible friends. We can't wait to do it again! Scatterbrained...

is how I have been feeling lately. I feel like I have so many things to do but yet I haven't accomplished any of them. I didn't even realize that it has been a week since I have last blogged. Well last week, I was gearing up for my friend's baby shower. Myself and three of my closest friends were planning this shower for our dear friend. I wasn't sure how it was going to come out because we have been planning it over emails for the past 6 weeks. On Saturday evening, we came to the conclusion that we put together a great baby shower. We had a ton of food, a scrapbook station, a couple games, presents and more food. Here are a few pictures from the shower.




It was too funny that all of us that put on the shower were wearing a black shirt and levis. It was like we had planned it. My favorite of the shower was the chocolate fountain.

Sunday was a total relaxation day. We didn't do anything but get caught up on our shows on dvr. It was great.

Monday, I actually felt like I was accomplishing some things and so I went to Jacks Urban Eats in Natomas with my sis-in-law and had a great time. Zac was being so silly. Later that night, Zeke had a baseball game and he had his best hit of the season. He hit it to the outfield. We were also lucky because the rain held off until the end of the game.

As for today, I got my hair done and I had a meeting afterwards. Now I am trying to figure out a way to get myself organized so that I don't feel overwhelmed. I don't know how that is going to work because I already told my husband that I want to play Rockband. Let's see what I end up doing.
