Round of Mini-golf...

That is what we did this afternoon when Hersch and Zeke got home from school. Zeke took his putter, daddy had his and Zac had his snoopy plastic putter. I had to pick one when we got there. The boys looked so cute out there on each hole.

Daddy showing Zac how to stand. Yes, he does swing lefty.

Zeke gettin' ready to swing.

Zac and daddy checking out the greens before putting. Not really but that's what it looks like.

Hersh getting ready to putt.

Zac drying his golf ball because the hole had water in it. He didn't like reaching in the hole.

A fun family outing on spur of the moment. I think we all had a great time and it was free cuz Hersh is a member and the owner loves Hersh.

And in case any of you were wondering who won, it was me! Yep that's right mom kicked some butt! Hersh got a hole in one on the second hole and I got one on the eighth hole. He had a few holes that were inconsistent and I managed to par most of them. My reward was to come home and finish cooking dinner. Have a great night and thanks for looking!

A few layouts...

I had my monthly craft night last night and had a great time. I had the ladies make either a Mother's day or a Father's day card. I worked on a 4th of July layout when I wasn't busy chatting. Needless to say, I finished my layout today. I really enjoy these monthly nights. I get to chat it up with some great gals and I get to be creative; two things I love! Here are the layouts and the cards that I have been working on:

This is one that I created using the products from Green Tangerines's March Kit Club. I really loved these pictures and couldn't wait to scrapbook them.

This was a two page layout for the 4th of July using super cute Creative Imagination papers that I found on sale last week at Michaels.

These last two are cards that I made courtesy of a lady on the Stampin' Up demonstrator website. She gave all the info on how to make them. I will be offering a class on how to make these two cards as well as four others. They will be "His and Hers Birthday Cards".

Well that is it for me tonight. I have a meeting tomorrow with a really creative lady that is going to help jump start my Stampin' Up business. I can't wait to chat with her. Thanks for looking!

OMG and WTF?!?!

That is all I have to say after dealing with a local car dealership these past two days. I had to take my car in to have it looked at because the brake light came on while I was driving and the brake pedal started grabbing. I took it in and found out later that day that to fix my car and replace the part was going to cost me close to a thousand dollars. I told them to hold off and I drove the car home. It drove just fine when I got it back. I had my bro-in-law come and look at my car for me that night and he ran a test that was in the manual in regards to what was going on. It passed the test no prob. Then today I took the car to a different mechanic and he looked at it and drove it and said nothing seemed wrong with it. So that got me thinking, which is never a good thing. I called up this dealership and asked to speak to the manager of the service department. I told him what had happened and he said that he would look into it and call me back. Well he did call me back...at closing time. I spoke to him and the first thing out of his mouth is that we are "great customers" and then he proceeds to tell me that he called the head dealership and they can waive some fees and he can get me the part and install it for one hundred dollars. Wow, that's 900 cheaper!! So I told him that I had to complain about my service and question what was going on and it would be cheaper. I also told him that I was frustrated because this is not the first time that this has happened to us. He then goes on to tell me that he went out of his way to get this cheaper and that if I didn't go back to them and have it done, he doesn't care. What, you don't care if you lose me as a customer?? So then I told him THAT is exactly I wouldn't be coming back because of the way he was treating me.

OMG!! How can you sit and tell a long time customer that you don't care if you lose their business? Especially during a tough economical time like this?? I hope karma bites him in the ass! Sorry for the downer post but I can't stand people like that!

On a lighter note, Zac and I went to the grocery store this evening and before we left we had to put his shoes on. While we were in his room, he picked up his little mickey mouse bag to take to the store just like mommy. I take my reusable bags whenever I go to stores. He was so cute because he even gave it to the lady that was checking us out and she gave us credit for his bag. I didn't expect that. He was so cute carrying his bag out with his box of crackers in it. That is how he celebrated Earth Day!

A little behind...

Is what I feel like this weekend. Last week we had two games for Zeke during the week and I was working more so that we will have more money for Vegas. Because of all of this I have slacked off on doing the house chores. I got lazy in the evenings. I feel like the house is really dirty. I hate that feeling. I need to do some dusting and vacuuming and then I will feel better, hopefully. I need to prioritize all the things I need to get done and then it will actually happen. Friday night we went to my sis and bro in-laws house for dinner and didn't get home til late and then Zac woke up before 5am screaming. Still don't know what was wrong with him but he went back to sleep just fine laying next to daddy. I needed to get up early to work in the snack bar for Zeke's baseball team and before I left, I took this cute photo.

They looked so peaceful sleeping so soundly. I went to take a picture of Zeke sleeping as well but he was already awake and watching a movie in his room. I was hoping for a cute picture of him too.
As for today, we just got back from Zeke's baseball pictures and the hit-a-thon. He hit one ball 109 feet. Not bad for a beginner. I just thought I would put in a quick post since Zeke is waiting for me to play a board game with him. It appears that I am going to be busy this week as well. I am hoping to clean up the house since I have my Craft Night on Saturday night. Can't wait to work on more projects!

Easter Goodness...

Well Spring Break has come and gone and it was a lot of fun. We were productive and we had fun too. It went by all too quickly. I, of course, took a lot of photos of the coloring process. Zac really seemed to like coloring the eggs. Without further ado, here are the fun photos from Easter.

The pristine white eggs before just waiting to be colored up all nice and pretty.

Zeke waiting to take his egg out of the blue dye.

Zac showing me his blue egg as grandma stands behind him to make sure he doesn't fall off the bench.

Grandma helping Zac decorate his egg.

Hersh and Zeke coloring eggs.

My very favorite boys in the whole wide world!

The very colorful eggs that my boys created!

Looking for eggs that the Easter bunny hid. It was a very busy day and I think the boys really enjoyed it.

I HEART Vin Diesel!

Yep that's right. We went this evening to the movies and took Zeke to see "Fast and Furious". He is really into those movies. He really liked the movie tonight as did I. How could I not, it had Paul Walker and Vin Diesel and super fast cars. Some of my faves! Still enjoying our spring break. I really enjoy having the family together even if we didn't go anywhere. I am looking forward to dying eggs this weekend with the boys. I am hoping Zac will be awake for it this year. He was snoozing the whole time last year. I can't wait to see how they do coloring up their eggs. Off to watch some shows with Hersh. Will be back soon!

Start of spring break...

We have been productive for the start of spring break. I hope we can keep it up. Last night, we pulled a ton of weeds and just did some other yard work. It doesn't seem like we did very much but we filled our green garbage can. We are going to continue the work when the garbage is emptied on Wednesday morning. I am feeling good since I have been somewhat productive. I had sort of a crummy feeling weekend. The weekend wasn't bad, just I wasn't feeling well. I was in a haze and was sad. I just wasn't feeling good about myself. On one hand, I wanted to be left alone and on the other, I wanted company. I just didn't know what to do with myself. I did enjoy Zeke's baseball game. I loved watching Zac get all excited to watch Zeke and his cousin. She was playing on the other field.

Here he is watching as Zeke is playing catcher.

I took this one because I thought he looked cute even though those are all weeds behind him. I have since pulled all of those weeds. Zac even helped me pull a few. He also brought me my shovel and he shared his juice with me. I love those moments.

I will leave you with this last cute photo of Zac blowing on a dandelion. I hope he made a wish. Thanks for looking.

Holy cow...it's Friday again.

I can't believe how fast this week went by for me. Monday was pretty mundane. I ran a few errands and Zeke had practice. Tuesday, I headed to San Francisco to see my near and dear friend. I went to be her date for a Gavin DeGraw concert which was excellent. We were so close and he was a great perfomer. When it was over and we were headed home, my ear started hurting like crazy. I drove home later that night and tried to get some sleep before going to Urgent Care. I managed to get some sleep finally because I think my ear started draining. Gross I know but I felt a little better. I went to my doctor and obviously it was an ear infection. Thursday, I had to get the big car worked on and so that day was a waste but it allowed me to rest. I feeling a little out of it. As for today, Zeke had his Jog-a-Thon. I went and got blown away while I was watching him. It was pretty windy out. I was proud of Zeke, he ran 15 laps. Just shy of four miles. And now I have a demanding two year old yelling at me to go "Out!". I better let him out before he starts getting violent. I will be back later.
