Daaaa Bulls, Da Bulls, Da Bulls...

So last night we went to watch a Kings and Bulls game in Sacramento thanks to our good friend who got us tickets. It is sort of a tradition for my husband, his best friend, his brother and his dad to go and watch the Kings and Bulls play when they come to town. For those of you that do not know we are big Chicago sports fans. Almost any Chicago team we root for (sorry White Sox, you are not included in the excitement). This year my son and I along with my sis-inlaw and nieces went with them. We were all wearing our Bulls apparel and sitting with my husband's friend in his Kings jersey. Well this year the Bulls finally beat the Kings and it was a great victory. Espescially considering the announcers had to let everyone know that the Bulls have not beat the Kings on their home turf since 1997. Well that is like sealing your fate once you do that. I believe the game was 109-77 but don't quote me on that. Here are a few pics to let you in on the action.

Here is one from our cheap seats! I actually really liked our seats cuz we could see everything.

A pic of Zeke and I. He was enjoying his icee drink and I was sporting my new purple "do".

Here is a cute pic of Zeke and his daddy right before Zeke was going on the court to shoot a free throw. They apparently let kids make one shot after the game is over. I thought that was pretty cool.

Here is the one of Zeke shooting his free throw. He just barely missed. We had a really great time and it was even better that the Bulls won.

Tonight Hersch is hoping for another Chicago victory by the Blackhawks. He went to the Sharks and Blackhawks game with his brother and his dad. I hope they win so then he will be super excited. And tomorrow we will be having a fab-o SuperBowl Party. Not really sure who to root for but I am super excited to watch. I will post pics of that hopefully on Monday.

Sick kiddo

I just hate it when of my kids get sick. This week it has been Zeke. He has been running a low grade fever that seems to come and go with the help of some motrin. He claims that nothing seems to be hurting except his throat seems to be a little sore. Today he hasn't really had a fever so he will be heading off to school tomorrow. Zac is all confused right now with his brother being home. He just knows that he doesn't get to watch "monkey" (curious george) in the mornings. I will be happy when he goes back to school so that I don't have to have the tv on all day. I am not used to that and it drives me crazy sometimes. Zac and I should have our routine back tomorrow and hopefully Zeke will be feeling better soon. He has to, we have a busy weekend ahead of us.

Shout out

I would just like to give my boy Zeke a shout out for doing so well today at his first basketball game of the season! I was so proud of him. He scored four points and he did well. Also his team won but only by one point. They played well for it being their first game out. Zac was sad because he really wanted to play but was forced to sit in the stands. He will have his turn before he knows it.
Now that daddy has seen Zeke play, I told him that he has to gather up his friends to play with Zeke and help him with his defense. Once he gets better in that area, he will be doing great. As for Zeke's coach, I hope he mellows out during the future games or he is going to have a heart attack. But I think that is just how many basketball coaches are. I think it kind of fires Zeke up and it's good to have him take instruction from someone other than daddy. He might be more likely to listen that way.

Sometimes he amazes me...

Tonight I went to my parents for dinner, well actually I kind of invited us over. We went after going to Toys r Us with the kiddos. They both had gift cards to spend. Zeke, after much deliberation, got an Imaginex Batman castle looking thing, Madden 09 for his PSP and a Sonic Heroes action figure. Zac got a disney mega block toy.
Anyways after dinner, Zac wanted to play a Veggie Tales computer game. It is a game that he often sees Zeke play. Zac really likes the game cuz it has monkeys in it. Well tonight my dad started the computer for him and got him all set up for the game. Next thing I know, Zac is playing this game and he manages to pass three levels all on his own.

This one is of Zac passing Level 2 of the game.

He got bored after he completed three levels, so then he was done with the game. After that we came home and I put the kiddos to bed. I am waiting for Hersh to watch "Lost". It started tonight. That is a show I love to hate.

Sorry for the absence

I have been doing a little bit of nothing this past week. I was trying to get all of our laundry done from the cruise but it's difficult to catch up when I am just not motivated. I don't mind the washing but it's the putting away that I hate. Also this week, I wasn't feeling very well. I have been trying to rest on the couch most of the week. Zac has even been very cooperative, just as long as he has "monkey" (Curious George) to watch. He is obsessed with that monkey.
Herschel and I also celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary this past Wednesday. He had a game so we waited until Friday and went and had dinner together after his game in Natomas. Thursday night he stayed home from practice to watch the kiddos and he brought me some medicine. I started feeling better on Friday.
Yesterday, I went to a Stampin' Up party that was thrown for hostesses only. I had a party last year and got some cool stamps out of it. I enjoyed myself yesterday morning. I made 2 cards and a hanging heart box. I really enjoy doing stuff like that. I am thinking about selling the stuff but mainly because of when I want to make cards or projects for Herschel's class. Any one out there will have to let me know if they are interested in any stamps.
Yesterday afternoon, we went to my in laws house and enjoyed some bbq and watched the UFC fights. After that we came home and watched "My Best Friend's Girl" with Dane Cook. I enjoyed the movie, but I also like Dane Cook and Kate Hudson. Hersch bought me the movie for our anniversary. We aren't really big into the gifts really on our anniversary. Also, we are working on saving our money to go to Vegas in May to see Dave Matthews Band with our friends. We are very excited about that.
And later today we are going over to some friends house to watch football, eat, chat and have the kiddos play together.

Our vacation in a nutshell.

So as promised here is just a little rundown of our awesome vacation to Hawaii over the Christmas break. We had a great time and this blog is pretty much going to be of pictures so that you can get an idea of how much fun we had.

It started off as Zac's first flight and Zeke's first flight with daddy.

Because of this, I got to sit in peace by myself the row behind and next to them.
Next we have some brotherly love on Zeke's bed. This was right after we got in the cabin. Zeke liked his bed. He said it was like sleeping on the top bunk.

This next one is a family pic of all of us going to bed. We were excited to get going on our vacation.

A little dinner time picture. I just love it when he wears blue.

Here the boys are checking out some gifts from Santa. Zeke was so excited that Santa had found him on the ship. He was a little worried at first.

They were all excited to open all of the gifts that grandma and grandpa brought for them.

This was one of the many awesome desserts that were on the cruise. I liked this one with the white chocolate snowman. It had chocolate mousse on the inside. It was very yummy.

We finally hit land in this next photo. Here we were at Rainbow Falls in Hilo, Hawaii. I swear this was not photoshopped. We really were there.

This one is of the boys behind a steam vent. They are created from the active volcano which is way beneath the surface. I don't know the whole detailed explanation but that's good enough for the purpose of this blog.

Zac is such a weirdo, he loved to play in the sand but refused to go in the water. Yet he loved the pool.

On Maui Zeke got a real hawaiian shaved ice. He got lemon-lime flavor. He ate it all and loved it.

And we can't go all the way to Hawaii and not see hula dancers. Here is a pic of a few of the girls. Those girls can move their hips like nobody's business. Oh and I really liked their outfits.

These next few are all from our whale watching tour on Kona, Hawaii. This was our last stop before cruising back home. We had a lot of fun on this tour.

Here are a few dolphins we spotted.

A few whales that we spotted as well.

Having fun!

Here is one of Zeke tending bar on the tour. Daddy is teachin' him early.

Here is the guy that gave Zeke a tip for getting his drinks. Don't worry they were only sodas.

Here is the big ship we were on: the MS Zaandam from Holland America.

Here we were celebrating Zac's 2nd birthday. He was embarrassed when the waiters were singing to him.

Here is Zac on the plane ride home. He was sitting next to me. So once again I had peace on the ride.

Well hopefully you all made it through this long blog. It took me so long to post cuz I wasn't sure how to get started. I hope you enjoyed the photos. Thanks for looking.

I'm home again...

Oh my goodness, we had such a great time. I just wanted to do a quick post to let you know that we made it home safe and sound. Now I am just trying to tidy up the house to get ready for Zac's 2nd birthday party on Saturday. I had to take down the tree today and we cleaned up a bit. I will be back shortly to post pics and to give you all a brief rundown of our vacation. I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year. I hope to see many of you soon. Take care for now.
